Sofia, 18 September 2025 – The two leading debt management companies in the country – EOS Matrix EOOD and Debt Collection Agency EAD (DCA) – are announcing a strategic partnership in a key project to acquire a portfolio of receivables with a nominal debt of over BGN 1.7 billion.
If the project is implemented, it will be the largest deal to date on the secondary debt purchase market in Bulgaria. It is also a testament to the successful cooperation between the leading specialized companies in the sector, which operate according to established ethical standards and norms.
The seller in the deal, the Debt Collection Agency EAD, secures solid financial resources for strategic development and new investments. DCA will continue to be an active part of the debt management market, maintaining its focus on purchasing portfolios from banks and non-bank financial institutions. The buyer, EOS Matrix EOOD, also has a strong business focus on purchasing portfolios of non-performing loans (both secured and unsecured). The partnership supports EOS’s long-term strategy in Bulgaria to maintain its leading role as a key investor in the purchase of portfolios from financial institutions.
The two companies have submitted a request for approval of the transaction to the Commission for Protection of Competition and are awaiting the decision of the supervisory authority. Additional information on the subject will be provided after the CPC’s decision is issued.
The strategic cooperation between EOS Matrix and DCA guarantees the stability of the secondary market as an integral part of the country’s overall financial stability. An added value in this strategic partnership between the two parties is the sharing of good business practices towards consumers.
About the Debt Collection Agency EAD (DCA)
DCA was established in 2010 and is one of the leading companies for the purchase of overdue receivables in Bulgaria.
