B2Holding acquires a NPL portfolio valued at €245.7 million in Croatia

B2Holding, the owner of Debt Collection Agency (DCA), has through its Croatian subsidiary B2 Kapital d.o.o, entered into an agreement with Zagrebacka banka d.d to acquire a portfolio of non-performing loans in Croatia. The total gross book value of the portfolio is EUR 245.7m as of July 2017.

The agreement was signed on June 15 after obtaining a positive opinion from the Croatian National Bank. B2 Kapital acquires a mixed portfolio of retail and corporate, secured and unsecured non-performing loans.

“The acquisition of the portfolio is another important milestone in B2Holding’s continued development and further growth in Croatia,” says Olav Dalen Zahl, CEO of B2Holding ASA. Even though this transaction has previously been communicated, B2Holding now discloses the details of this transaction in order to be fully transparent with the vendor’s announcement.

Zagrebacka banka is part of Unicredit Group which has been successfully partnering with B2Holding in the region recently. Last year DCA acquired from Unicredit Bulbank two NPL portfolios valued at EUR 177m.
